Modeling the Vulnerability of Logistics Infrastructure in the Arco Norte Region under Climate Scenarios

Abstract

his proposal focuses on modeling the vulnerability of logistics infrastructure under different climate scenarios. The research will apply the Maximum Entropy model (MaxEnt) to estimate the distribution of critical areas, considering variables related to the transportation network and projected climate data. The undergraduate research fellow will be directly involved in collecting, processing, and modeling spatial data, using tools such as QGIS and MaxEnt. The activities will be carried out over 12 months, contributing to the students' technical and scientific training in a strategic field for the country, encompassing infrastructure, agriculture, and the environment in the context of climate change. The expected results include the production of vulnerability maps that may support public policies aimed at logistics adaptation and territorial sustainability. (AU)
