Abstract

This project aims to acquire a high-performance server to meet the computing demands of faculty and students affiliated with the Center for Mathematics, Computation, and Cognition at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). For the group of Computer Science researchers, this equipment represents an essential tool for developing advanced Artificial Intelligence models, including generative models, with performance comparable to the state-of-the-art in the field. Expanding computing capacity will not only boost local scientific production but also strengthen ongoing collaborations, such as the recent partnership with Lakehead University in Canada. UFABC has adequate infrastructure for the installation and operation of the equipment through the Multiuser Computing Center, which provides specialized technical support and an environment suitable for this type of server, reinforcing the viability and impact of the proposal.
