Abstract

The Botucatu Medical School (FMB) demonstrates a consistent commitment to investing in the strengthening, expansion, and continuity of scientific research in cutting-edge areas of knowledge. Growth has been evident across various areas of the institution. Among them is the Laboratory of Infectious Diseases, part of the Experimental Research Unit (UNIPEX). Like the other laboratories within this unit, its facilities are equipped with shared resources, fully multi-user, and dedicated to advancing scientific research in the health field.This laboratory currently houses an extensive mycotheque and serotheque, which serve as valuable sources for numerous research projects, including master's, doctoral, and postdoctoral studies in collaboration with national and international partners.To properly manage the database for this entire structure, the renewal of computers is essential. The acquisition of audiovisual equipment is also important to enhance the quality of local scientific meetings and those with external institutions.Finally, FMB also relies on a Research Support Office (EAP), which has greatly contributed to the scientific advancement of studies conducted at the institution. The EAP has expanded methodological techniques, working with statistical and mathematical modeling, which requires appropriate equipment for this purpose.The aim is to maintain the proper functioning of these areas, which require logistical support and research data management for ongoing studies. Therefore, the main objective of this proposal is to acquire essential equipment for data management and to improve interaction among researchers in laboratory areas and within the EAP.The project was developed in collaboration with the technical-scientific team of the involved areas. The decision to invest in this initiative was approved by the FMB Congregation. (AU)
