IntegraSanca: Connecting Data, Transforming São Carlos

Abstract

The fragmentation of information systems in public administration is one of the main challenges faced by city governments. Different departments operate isolated systems, making it difficult to exchange information, making bureaucratic processes inefficient and reducing the capacity to respond to the demands of the population. Data integration and interoperability emerge as essential solutions to modernize public management, ensuring greater efficiency, transparency and quality in the services offered. They make it possible to connect priority areas in services offered to citizens, such as health, education, janitorial services and security, allowing information to flow securely and quickly between municipal bodies. Within this context, the aim is to design a Science Center for Development entitled "IntegraSanca: Connecting Data, Transforming São Carlos", which aims to investigate the integration and interoperability of data in the city of São Carlos, enabling secure, intelligent and efficient communication between different sectors of the city government, not only at the municipal level but also at the state level. The project aims to modernize public management in São Carlos, promote transparency and improve the provision of services to the population. The aim is to align São Carlos with the global trend of smart cities. IntegraSanca encompasses 4 areas of action: database, artificial intelligence, information security and software engineering.
