Abstract

The research proposal aims to develop the synthesis and to investigate the biological profile (cytotoxic activity against human cancer cell lines and phosphatase inhibition)of several compounds displaying the dihydropyranone moiety. We will focus on the synthesis and biological activities of (S)-goniothalamin analogues, fostriecine analogues and anguinomicin C. For anguinomycin C we aim to establish its relative and absolute configuration by total synthesis. (AU)
