Abstract

The goal of this research project is to develop advanced methodologies for monitoring, analyzing and controlling related to power systems expansion planning and operation (including operation planning and real-time operation). These methodologies should be efficient from a computational standpoint and sufficiently accurate to provide relevant information to the systems operator/analyst. Also, the idea is to provide academy/industry with a significant number of skilled personnel in the power systems area, including undergraduate and graduate (Masters, PhD and post-doc) students.
