Abstract

The mantainance of maternal behavioral (MB) is controlled by the interaction of environmental, biochemical, hormonal and neural factors. Hormonal changes occuring during lactation, such as alteration in reproductive hormonal levels are necessary for the expression of MB. Opioidergic stimulation after morphine treatment in reproductive female rats has been studied and the results show an important role of PAG in this scenary. Thus, the aim of this study is to verify the effects of treatment with opioidergic agonists in MB and the molecular biology in the lateral PAG. (AU)
