Abstract
This project proposes studying the synthesis conditions and characterization of diluted magnetic oxide nanostructures prepared by chemical routes such as sonochemical methods and hydrothermal synthesis. Since the occurrence of ferromagnetic behavior in these compounds is still a controversial issue, sometimes associated to the existence of cobalt nanoclusters in the samples, or even to effects or structural disorder and oxygen vacancy, it is still necessary performing studies on the synthesis of doped and non-doped ZnO and TiO2 nanoparticles. High controlled quality samples will be prepared to better understand the condition to the observation of ferromagnetism in the different prepared samples. (AU)
