Abstract

A series of connections details involving steel-concrete composite members have been investigated through experimental analysis in the Structural Engineering Department EESC-USP, as a result of the Research Project n.05/53141-4, supported by FAPESP. The numerous obtained results constitute an unique data basis that can be better explored with the use of an adequate numerical simulation. In this way, the present project purpose is the development of a methodology to numerically  analyze the connections and, from the obtained model validation, performing a parametric study to explore possible variation in the materials properties and also in the geometric characteristics of the models.
