Abstract

The expression of oxytocin receptors (OTR) has been studied in several species; however, in dogs, there are no studies regarding the distribution of such receptors using immunohistochemistry. New perspectives on the therapeutic use of oxytocin in reproductive pathologies in dogs may arise based on the results of the present study, improving the available reproductive biotechnologies to be used in small animals.
