This project will study the potential of use of agro-industry residues (coconut shell, groundnut shell, sugar cane bagasse and straw) in order to add value to these materials through the manufacture of particleboards. And it makes the same panel, using wood particles Pinus spp, as a benchmark to compare the performance physical, mechanical, durability and micro-structural characteristics. For these will be used polyurethane mono-component and bi-component resin based on castor oil. The quality of the products will be evaluated based on the requirements of normative documents NBR 14.810:2002, ASTM D 1435:1994 and ASTM D 358:1998, through physical and mechanical characteristics, durability and micro-structural. After analyzing the results, are shown the possible uses in related areas such as construction of homes, rural buildings and trade in general and the furniture sector. (AU)
