Abstract

The solution to the paradigm of getting efficiency in less time of analysis, in the context of the High Performance Liquid Chromatography, separations have been explored with success in 2D. The multidimensional analyses are used for a wide range of complex matrices and/or samples. In the preparation of samples, the separations in two dimensions are carried out by coupling restricted access media columns to achirals and/or chiral columns, for a variety of classes of compounds in different matrices. The use of taden mass spectrometry hyphenated to liquid chromatography has expanded the realms of the use of liquid chromatography for quantification of small molecules in complex samples matrices. In this project, the multidimensional chromatography will be employed for quantification of small molecules in biological fluids by direct injection of samples. The project is part of an ongoing project in the group and expands the use of restricted access media bovine serum albumin (RAM-BSA) columns for the two complexes matrices: human urine and milk and also on the use of RAM-BSA ionic columns for quantification of amphoteric compounds in human urine and bovine milk.
