Milk production and composition of 1/2 Lacaune 1/2 Ile de France ewe fed diets with soybean seeds

Abstract

The work will be carried out at the Ovine Sector from the Animal Science Department of the FCAV, Unesp, Jaboticabal, SP and will understand gestation of Ile de France ewes inseminated with semen of Lacaune ram and milking of lambs per 30, 45 or 60 days and females up to 15 kg of body weight. All lambs were confined until 32 kg of body weight when slaughtered the males. The carcasses and meat of lambs, will be avaliated about quantitative and qualitative characteristics, as well as the centesimal composition and the fatty acids profile and sensorial analysis. The 1/2 Lacaune 1/2 Ile de France hoggets with age aproximated at 10 months and 40 kg of body weight will be bred with Ile de France ram. The milk production will be evaluated during 56 days, being males and females lambs weaned precocity, after two days of birth, and will be milking artificially by 30, 45 or 60 days. The ewes will be milked starting from the third postpartum day to the 59th day, totaling 8 weeks of lactation. During milking, milk samples will be collected for subsequent analysis of centesimal composition (protein, fat ,ash, lactose), total solids estimate and fatty acids profile(atherogenicity and desaturase index). Roquefort type cheese will be manufactured and submitted to sensorial analysis. (AU)
