Abstract

Due to the needs in recycling industrial wastes in agriculture, this project has the objective to evaluate the effects of metallurgy wastes as fertilizer for corn and tomato, aiming at its later use to improve soil acidity and supply nutrients. For each experiment, the design of randomized blocks with a 5x5 factorial scheme will be adopted. The evaluated factors will be five sources of waste from Vale and five doses, with four replications. For the corn experiment, the hybrid BR 201 will be used, and for the tomato one, the Viradouro cultivar will be used. For both experiments, soil samples will be analyzed in order to detect possible variations in the soil chemical properties, as well as tomato fruits and corn kernels for the determination of the absorption of heavy metals and nutrients. The data will be subjected to the analysis of variance and regression, according to the design proposed, with the help of Agroestat statistical software (UNESP, Jaboticabal-SP). (AU)
