Abstract
The Probiotic bacteria are known as inhibition to growth of pathogenic microorganisms. Thus, we would propose the utilization the probiotic for prevention and treatment of Candidiasis of the oral cavity and denture stomatitis. The objective this research is evaluation probiotc effects in controlling the prevalence of oral Candida, and its influence enzymatic activity and antifungical sensibility. The study will be conducted with in patients denture wearers, accepted part in the research and be written a consent term and will realized treatment at the Discipline of Complete Denture II of FOUSP, the period between 2010 and 2012.The samples will be collected, by method SWAB in the region of the palate and evaluated quantification in colony forming units per mL (CFU/mL) the presence of yeast in the oral cavity. The patients with isolated yeast, after being targeted for treatment, will received bottles identified as A and B randomly, one being with Probiotic bacteria. The study was a randomized double-blind. In the fourth and eighth week of treatment will be made new collections this patients. The enzymatic activity and sensitivity to antifungal drugs by the technique "ETEST" and agar disk diffusion of all isolates. (AU)
