Abstract

Speaks a lot about the adaptation of hearing aids aids (HA) in patients with descendant hearing loss. The occlusion effect is one of the main complaints of users depending on the configuration of hearing loss. Considering the updates on the development of hearing aids and the particular configuration of hearing loss in these cases, mini BTE hearing aids open fit specific to bring major benefits for these individuals. The open fit devices are used along with a very thin tube in place of template to connect the device to the ear, can be called RITE, when the receiver is used in the ear canal and connected to the device through a tube or finely RITA they present the receiver in the hearing aid itself. Objetive: An experimental study to verify the performance of RITA and adaptations RITE by measuring in situ, speech perception and level of user satisfaction with the application of the SADL questionnaire. Method: Participants in this project 20 individuals older than 18 years with audiological diagnosis of bilateral sensorineural hearing loss of mild and moderate. There will be a division of individuals into two groups of 10 participants matched for age and configuration of hearing loss, where the G1 (group 1) is fitted with open fit hearing aid receiver with the apparatus and G2 (group 2) will be fitted with open fit hearing aids receiver with the channel. The adjustments will be assessed through measures with probe microphone, speech perception (HINT) and satisfaction with the use of hearing aids (SADL instrument). For preparation of statistical tests results will be relevant to the purpose of the study. (AU)
