The Solar Submillimetre-wave project (SST)

Abstract

The project "The solar submillimeter-wave project" proposes the construction of a radio telescope operanting at sub-mm wavelegnths with high time resolution (milliseconds). This instrument should be able to produce new information of relevance in the spectral region proposed, that remains largely unexplored. In combination with data taken at other wavelengths it should help advance significantly our understanding of particle acceleration in solar events. (AU)
