Abstract
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease of connective tissue, multisystemic. Behcet's syndrome (BS) and Takayasu's arteritis (TA) are inflammatory diseases of unknown etiology, classified as primary vasculitis, and may involve several organs. These three diseases affect women of reproductive age, which raises questions related to gonadal function in these patients. While much attention has been given to ovarian failure related to immunosuppressive therapy, little is known about ovarian reserve and the presence of autoantibodies anti-ovarian in these diseases. Objectives: to evaluate ovarian reserve, lower genital tract infection and the presence of antibody anti-corpus luteum in adult women with SLE, SB and TA, and its possible associations with demographic data, clinical manifestations, disease activity, cumulative damage and treatment. Methods: we will study 80 adult women in reproductive age with SLE, 40 with SB and 40 with AT, comparing them with a control group of 80 healthy women. We will assess demographic data, clinical manifestations of disease, laboratory findings and treatments. Hormonal evaluations and ovarian reserve will be determined by the measure of: follicle stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, estradiol, progesterone, prolactin, testosterone, inhibin A and B and anti-Mullerian hormone. We also will perform the dosage of antibody anti-corpus luteum, transvaginal ultrasound and HPV and Chlamydia search. (AU)
