Abstract

The ESF is identified as the strategy privileged by Ministry of Health (MOH) for the Brazilian primary care (AB). The nurse is an integral part of the team, which is facing the challenge of taking the health needs of different social groups as an object of practice. In this research health needs are taken as the product of social reproduction, ie,expanded needs in relation to those restricted to access to services and health problems already established, that characterize the traditional practices of AB. This study aims to understand the characteristics of general practices in AB delivered by the ESF, with the participation of nurses, who have power to overcome the traditional model of health care. Methodological procedures: the study intends to recognize and characterize the practices developed with the participation of nurses in six USF Health Supervision of Butantan, through interviews, participant observation, and will a sample of practices considered as good practices, using a script observation. The material of the observation will be analyzed according to the category of health needs analysis. In the third step is meant the production of educational material, in order to support the development of practices in which nurses participate, responding to health needs in AB. The nurses of the ESF will be intervewed. This project will be submitted to the Ethics in Research of School of Nursingof the University of São Paulo (EEUSP) and the Municipal Health Secretariat of Sao Paulo, respecting the ethical and legal precepts of research in the country.
