Abstract

This project is on the scope of the research theme "Advanced Magnetic Materials and New Characterization Techniques" and is based on a long and profitable collaboration with Dr. Yves Souche, from the Laboratoire Louis Néel-CNRS, Grenoble, France. Our collaboration started during my pos-doc period at LLN-CNRS and never stopped. Just to now, we have used short visits supported by FAPESP and bilateral projects, as USP-COFECUB and CNPq-CNRS. On this project, we intend to enlarge the scope of our work, including the study of microscopic magnetic objects and magnetoplasmonics effects by MO-SNOM. Dr. Souche, has a long experience on the study of magneto-optical effects in magnetic materials and will contribute to the development of the theoretical modelization of the surface plasmons in metallic (or magnetic) nanoparticles in magnetic (or metallic) matrix. He will also contribute to the theoretical modelization of the magneto-optical sinal in the system tip-sample-detector of the MO-SNOM. (AU)
