Abstract
Prof. Christian Rosendal will visit the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of São Paulo to develop a research project with prof. Valentin Ferenczi. He will also give a conference in the University of Campinas e several talks of initiation to Descriptive Set Theory in the Seminar of Functional Analysis and Descriptive Set Theory of IME-USP. The research project in collaboration with Valentin Ferenczi will be centered on the following themes, in the direction of dichotomy results of Gowers in the 1990's and universality results of Argyros and Dodos in the 2000's, as well as anterior results of V. Ferenczi and C. Rosendal:- new examples of Banach space in the list of inevitable spaces of Gowers,- examples of "strong" dichotomies between properties of Banach spaces,- study of spaces with the "blocking property", in interaction with the two other directions.
