Abstract

Program and activities schedule September 21 Open Lecture to the public at Centro Universitário Maria Antonia September 22, 23, and, 24; October 18, 19 and 20Meetings with the members of the Art & Photography Study Group The arrival of the Mexican researcher Laura González Flores, from the Aesthetics Research Institute of the National Autonomous University of Mexico is very important for the deployment of practical studies and research of the Arts & Photography Research Group (GEA & F) from the Plastic Arts Department of ECA -USP, as Flores has become a mandatory reference for scholars on the subject. Like most studies that have evolved and developed and still developing the Arts & Photography Research Group (GEA & F), deals precisely on the contact points and the differences between the two modes of image production, reading and discussion About the book written by Flowers had a dramatic impact within the Group. The author's proposals, her views always innovative on issues involving the relationship between art and techniques and, art and photography, painting and photography, have aroused heated discussions among the Group participants, enabling even the resizing of some research already in progress, as well as formulation of new study projects. Taking into account the productive character assumed by the Flores' ideas, was the reason for the group members have raised the possibility of inviting her to a closer contact. That is, having her with us during a given period would be an opportunity to present the author of the conducted research to those that are in process within GEA & F. Thus, the discussions could contribute to deepen the studies related to their specialty. Thus, it is also expected to create a clash of ideas and expand the exchange network of experiences that can result in joint projects and exchanges. Thus, this direct contact with the researcher and the ongoing presentation of research and projects in the formulation process will bring the opportunity to update a set of debates within the Group, as Laura Flores, recognized by her experience, can bring new questions and new theoretical formulations for formed proposals or in formulation process by Group members. September 27 to October 13Subject to be studied in the Visual Arts Graduation Program at ECA/USP: "Photography and painting: strategies for modernity of postmodernity photography production". Course Program: From painting to photography, from scientific to artistic, media for the museum: the history of images from the nineteenth century until the twenty-first century can be read as a succession of different solutions to the conflict between the rational and logical aesthetic in visual representations.
