Abstract

Considering the experience of Professor Rui Lima with the methodology of teaching and learning based on interdisciplinary projects, accumulated by six years of implementation of such methodology in the course of Master in Industrial Engineering and Management, University of Minho, where he is vice-coordinator, this project was proposed as a strategy to present it to Faculty of Engineering, Bauru, especially to students of the Masters Program in Production Engineering. This initiative is also a step towards establishing stronger connections between the two institutions with the possible creation of an inter-institutional research group in the area of active learning and experiential, which would have a wider scope than isolate areas of games and interdisciplinary Project as method of teaching-learning. This new group will put together members of the two lines of research: "Interdisciplinary Project Based Learning" and "Simulation of organizational environments." This result is expected and represents an evolution of the initial step taken with the post-doctoral work of Prof.Dr.José de Souza Rodrigues. Since then, it was signed an agreement for technical and scientific cooperation on January 7, 2010, including mobility of students, technicians and teachers / researchers between the two institutions, in which the applicant was involved. The expected results are the strengthening of the Graduate Program in Production Engineering from UNESP, integration of both institutions, knowledge transfer between institutions, expanding the scope of both research institutions and joint publications.
