Abstract

Visit Schedule:Activity Program for Professor Walmeri Kellen Ribeiro at UFSCar (São Carlos) and PUC (São Paulo): From April 25th to May 18th, 2012 - UFSCar: * 2 Mini-courses (in the morning and in the afternoon) or cycle of presentations on the "The Preparation of Actors for Film and Video" (for college and master's degree students of Image and Sound, and other interested individuals, at UFSCar and in the area), from April 25th to May 9th; * 2 gatherings and debates with master's degree students of both Literature Studies and Image and Sound on "Directing Actors", and a discussion about the research projects students have been developing, on May 10th and 11th; * Participation at CNPq's research group on "Film and Communication", headed by Professors Luciana Araújo and Josette Monzani, from UFSCar; this participation consists of a discussion and introduction to the doctoral dissertation by the invited professor for group members, on May 14th; * Meeting with members of the postgraduate research group on "Cinematography Theory and Narrative" at the Image and Sound course (TeNCine, coordenated by Professor Josette Monzani), on May 15th; * Participation at Júlio César Bazanini's qualification exam, from the master's degree program in Image and Sound, who has been developing a research on "The Creation Process of The Brave Warrior-O bravo guerreiro, by Gustavo Dahl: politics, staging and verbal speech", on May 18th. May 16th 2012 - PUC/SP: * Conference on "The Preparation and Directing of Actors", for students and professors at the postgraduate program in Communication and Semiotics from PUC/SP, and for other interested individuals.
