Abstract

The proposal is to teach an advanced level intensive course in spatio-temporal analysis of multi-temporal remotely sensed imagery. The classes, designed for advanced graduate and post graduate students, will cover both theoretical and practical aspects of quantitative spatio-temporal analysis with applications for geographers, geoscientists and engineers. The format will involve lectures in the morning followed by extended laboratory exercises in the afternoon. The laboratory session will use state-of-the-art image analysis software in the USP Geography Department computer laboratory. The material covered will include Thematic Classification, Spectral Mixture Analysis and Temporal Mixture Modeling. (AU)
