Abstract

This research work plan was developed based on the research work of water in urban areas group, as well on developments of previous researches. This research plan inserted in debates of urban settlements, social and environmental conflicts, urban management and housing; is built on an institutional approach of land policy and its compatibility with social housing policy. The main objective of this research is to perform a prospective study of land policy actions and its compatibility with housing policy. Specific objectives consist in: (i) describe the conceptual and legal framework of land policy actions; (ii) identify and describe the main elements of land policy addressed in social housing municipal plans in the Sao Paulo State, particularly in metropolitan region of Campinas, which are the focus of water in urban areas group; (iii) demonstrate the limitations and barriers of land policy. initially a search for bibliographical material will be performed to compose the research collection. Follow by examination of empirical data obtained in social housing municipal plans. As result, this research work plan seeks to achieve the implementation of innovations, and improvement in public policies, as well as in research and teaching, related to planning, project, and territory management, besides the dissemination of its processes and results in journals, conferences and seminars (AU)
