Abstract

Cardiovascular disease is worldwide recognized as a cause of morbidity and mortality. Nursing staff must be qualified to care the patients with chronic degenerative diseases and in particular, the cardiovascular diseases. The development of technological competence can reduce gaps between education and work as the possibility to invest in training and continuing education of nurses. The present study aims to identify the perception of Nursing Cardiologic Programs coordinators related to the insertion of content about information and communication technology (ICT)and to analyze the content described by the coordinators relating to competences about to information and comunication technologies.Data be collected in two phases: one using the course plans (the data will be categorized and analyzed considering if the goals, skills, content, strategies, resources, references) and another by the survey data with the coordination of courses, approaching the technological competences in Cardiovascular Nursing Programs. The results obtained are going to show the gaps in the human resources training. The impact of the results will be on the proposition of dissemination of knowledge on line with the available technology, breaking boundaries of major centers and the different assistance centers around the State and around the country.
