Abstract

The general purpose of the project is to analyse and estimate the FAPESP’s contribution to lhe agricultural development process in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The study will cover the following stages of analysis: i) Identify recent changes in agricul ture through the anaysys of statistical time series data; ii) Visit ano revisit lhe main institutions dedicated to human capital formation ano technological inovation; iii) Update the analysis of aggregate ano FAPESP's time series data of investiments in agriculture; and, iv) Estimate the total factor productivity (TFP) in agriculture, as well as the importance of human capita formation ano of FAPESP's projects in the process of technological development.
