Integrated system for the control of energy buildings using concepts of sustainability

Abstract

The Research Project on request funding resource for search FAPESP titled: "Integrated System for Control of Buildings Using Concepts of Sustainability" is proposing the optimization of a system for tracking solar developed under the project funded by FAPESP No. 05/60925-1, for the generation of electricity through photovoltaic panels and water heating. The topology of this development project also contemplates the use of the energy generated through the development of a control system of louvers and interior lighting, pumping water use of rain water for posterior use, and the surplus energy connected to the distribution network, measured by bidirectional meters. The positioning system tracking solar photovoltaic panels (PV), perpendicular to the incidence of sunlight during the day, and for the various periods of the year, with a significant gain of efficiency in electricity generation in the order of 60% . For this purpose, a similar system was used with panels of heat collectors for heating water, which results were obtained in peak hotplate automatic positioning system yields up to 200% and an efficiency of the entire system over the traditional system (Fixed ) above and 25%.The optimization of the tracking system has as its is scoped, the use of microcontrollers dedicated to the optimization and simplification is needed, as well as the implementation of a human-machine interface for data entry of initial placement of equipment in relation to latitude and longitude in depending on the installation location. The energy generated even in the form of direct current is used for pumping water accumulated in tanks to capture rain water to the upper reservoir. This pumping system will provide evaluation of the operation of the pumps of the type "surflo" and their performance in terms of head height, voltage and other parameters. The positioning system automatic louvers articulated type airplane wing on the facades of the building, watching the movement of the sun during the day, pulled by stepper motors and reducers, preventing entry of sunlight directly through the glazed areas of the building and must be integrated to control lighting. The purpose of these proposals is that the results will contribute to an increase in overall energy efficiency of buildings and especially awaken an awareness of the use of clean energy, the reuse of natural resources directed to the use of sustainability concepts. The project in question also seeks to contribute effectively to the unique goals of the Programme of Support for Researchers from FAPESP, which aims to encourage the formation of new research centers, aimed at decentralization of state research system and the opening of new frontiers for the activities of researchers. Thus, the resources that may be granted through this financial support, ensure the minimum infrastructure for development and full standalone project, as well as contribute to the nucleation of a new research group that will make possible in the short term, and sustain a new line of research in the Department of Electrical Engineering, with a multidisciplinary integration with the Graduate Program on Energy in Agriculture, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of UNESP - Botucatu.
