Abstract

The world-wide consuming market has presented an increasing demand for floriculture products of high quality; for the anthurium it is not different. In Brazil, this species has presented an increase of the producing areas, consequently reflecting the increase of the production of flowers of cut and vase. The Brazilian variety more cultivated is the IAC Eidibel, however great part of its flowers do not present uniformity of color, format, size, length and straightness of the connecting rods. This could be explained by the use of changes that would propagate indiscriminately. This work has aims to evaluate the main pointers of quality after-harvest of deriving of plants of fabric culture and cultivated in hidroponic system with coconut fiber. Anthuriuns IAC Eidibel in hidroponic system with coconut fiber in controlled environment will be cultivated, for a period of two years. The production of flowers will be analyzed in qualitative terms through physical analyses: colorimetric, format, size of flower and length and straightness of connecting rod. With the obtained results, one expects that the anthurium flowers IAC Eidibel, cultivated in closed hydroponic system with coconut fiber, will present uniformity of the main pointers of quality postharvest of this flower.
