Abstract

In the process of internationalization of the programs we, faculty of the Graduate Program in Mathematics Education at the Institute of Geosciences and Exact Sciences - IGCE - UNESP, have used every opportunity to establish international agreements of collaboration in our area. We know that the triad collaboration, entrepreneurship, leadership has become increasingly propellant social development, academic and technological and see, then, that our program is headed in the assessments of CAPES, a great opportunity to establish agreements. As coordinator of the Graduate Program in Mathematics Education and teacher / researcher in mathematics education consider the sharing of experiences with national and international researchers critical to the teaching within the university context. Furthermore, this experience brings to teaching practice, other theoretical and methodological perspectives conceive of the educational process. I believe this should be a more practical applicant in an academic environment, as this practice can provide sharing of experiences and knowledge, necessary and important to carry out teaching and research. Such knowledge and experience enables the teacher to bring to the academic culture other educational visions, permeated by different cultures and different theoretical and methodological perspectives on the processes of teaching. The cooperation between the Universidade Estadual Paulista Rio Claro - campus - Institute of Geosciences and Exact Sciences - Department of Mathematics - Graduate Program in Mathematics Education and Miami University - Department of Mathematics aims to promote the internationalization of the Graduate program through actions of mobility among teachers and students. More specifically, the objectives of the proposed visit are: to advise the research projects that have as their object of study in mathematics education and its many socio-cultural, political and epistemological; discuss theoretical and methodological contributions to research on trends north- American research and discuss projects and experiences Brazilian and U.S. on teacher education in the context of mathematics education internationalization This action will bring the inter-relatedness of Mathematics Education Group, coordinated by Professor Dr. Beatriz S. D'Ambrosio at Miami University and the Graduate Program in Mathematics Education UNESP, Rio Claro. The cooperation will take place from January 2013 to June 2013. The activities to be undertaken by a visiting researcher include: offering a concentrated course for students of MSc and PhD from the Graduate Diploma in Mathematics Education - Classical studies of North American mathematics education, meetings with professors of the Graduate Program in Education Mathematics, meetings with students of Masters and Doctoral Program Graduate in Mathematics Education, guidance and co-shared research, collaboration related to the theoretical and methodological aspects of research, developing, lectures, participation of the Workshops and Continuing Reviews Seminars - SMEMs Program Graduate in Mathematics Education. The teacher will discuss with teachers of Graduate Research projects, national and international, involving public schools, as the Project Pibid - University and School and the Project with the Max-Plank (Berlin) and King's College and College of Education (London).
