Abstract

This research project describes the scheduled activities, collaboration with research projects and expected benefits, for the visit of Dr. José Manoel Balthazar, Full Professor MS-6 of DEMAC/UNESP/Rio Claro, CNPq Researcher Level 1 A, to CECS, Center of Engineering, Modeling and Applied Social Sciences of UFABC, Federal University of ABC, specially to the course of Aerospace Engineering, and the Graduate Program in Mechanical Engineering of that University.The general theme of the visit is the Dynamic Nonlinear Analysis of Aerospace Structures. The following research topics are included: mathematical modeling, numerical simulation and identification of aerospace structures; stability and passive and active control of aerospace structures; dynamic nonlinear analysis of satellites (including satellites with flexible appendices and tethered satellites); fluid structure interaction of airships and eolic energy generators; energy harvest of environmental vibrations, non ideal loads (Sommerfeld Effect) etc. Interaction between the Visiting Professor and CECS/UFABC researchers will be conducted via direct collaboration in their research projects. The visitor will also deliver lectures, seminaries and workshops as well as graduate courses. (AU)
