Abstract

This proposal was consolidated after discussions among members of the interdisciplinary Research Infrastructure Comission (IRIC), constituted by the responsable researcher and coordinators of the research groups from UMC, namely: Center for Interdisciplinary Biochemistry Research (CIBR) Technology Research Group (TRG) and Environmental Science Center (ESC). According to IRIC components, after internal discussions with researchers within their units, it was establish a list of priorities able to meet the demands of each of these sectors. These priorities were then led the discussion with the CIIEP, which produced a final proposal, subject to available funding and considering the needs of the priority projects that gave rise to such resources. Altogether, the implementation plan approved by CIIEP includes a set of proposals aimed at improvement of research infrastructure that can be divided into three specific actions aimed at: (i) reform of the biotery, in order to meet the appropriate infrastructure for the new lines of research being demand for NIB and NCA (ii) Reform of laboratories to meet new lines of research within the cores, especially NIB NCA and iii) maintenance of facilities of Research Centers, hydraulic and electrical insulation, as well as improved gteneral facilities, (iv) repairment of essential equipment to the progress of projects and funding for atualization courses for technicians dedicated to research infrastructure.
