Abstract

The fight against infectious diseases has been the subject of many studies today that they are already among the leading causes of death of the human population. This occurs, in large part by the development of multiresistant microorganisms to the antibiotic on the market, due to intensive use and their inadequate. In this context, antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), found naturally in living organisms, are a great promise for achieving this goal. However, some particular characteristics of the peptide molecules (size, low solubility, the existence of effective load, high structural complexity, etc.), difficult to apply this class of substances for terapeutic use. As the advance in discoveries of new biologically active peptide molecules there is also a greater need to develop increasingly advanced techniques and specific management of these substances. Thus, these substances were able to reach their targets effective in bacterial cells. With the advent of nanotechnology, it became possible to develop materials and systems that enable the application of these molecules to different conditions. Therefore we intend to use these technologies as a tool to facilitate the mobility of peptide molecules with promising therapeutic potential for medical purposes, which has been shown to be a global trend in the field of drug development.
