Push-out bond strengths of fiber posts after different simplified luting approaches

Abstract

In vitro randomized and controlled trials will be made to evaluate the effectiveness of fiber posts retention with simplified luting approaches. In a first study 8 experimental groups will be evaluate by push-out test according to the post relining with composite resin and cementation technique : G1: fiber post + silane + dentin etching + Scothbond Multi -Purpose ( SBMP ) + dual cure resin cement RelyX ARC ( ARC ) ; G2: fiber post + silane + self-adhesive resin cement RelyX U200 ( U200 ) ; G3: fiber post + Universal Single Bond ( SBU ) + SBU in dentin + ARC ; G4: fiber post + SBU + dentin etching + SBU + ARC ; G5: relining post + SBMP + ARC ; G6: relining post + U200; G7: relining post + SBU in dentin + ARC; G8: relining post + dentin etching + SBU + ARC . In the second study , the push-out test will be applied in 6 experimental groups according to the single bottle self-etching dentin bond agent and dual cure resin cement : G1: All Bond SE ACE ( ACE ) + control resin cement without Anion Exchange Resin-AER( CC ) ; G2: ACE + Experimental-1 with AER in OH- form ( EXP- 1); G3: ACE + Experimental-2 with AER in OH-+F- form( EXP- 2); G4 : Bond Force ( BF ) + CC ; G5: BF + EXP- 1 ; and G6: BF + EXP- 2 . The experimental cements will undergo for mechanical tests to evaluate sorption and solubility, flexural strength and degree of conversion. The data will be subjected to appropriate statistical analysis, according to the normality and homogeneity of values . Descriptive qualitative data will be obtained through analysis of the failure pattern and Scanning Electron Microscopy images after silver nanoinfiltration. (AU)
