Grazing incidence diffraction on lipid-DNA-complex films


Dr. Rafael Oliveira will visit our group with the main objective to participate on the experiments with lipid-DNA complexation with in situ diffraction and ex situ studies, discuss about the Liquid Surface Science project to be implemented at LNLS, work on data analysis, participate to the Danish workshop, LNLS Proposal Committee, seminars and one-day visit at USP and Unicamp. The visit will empower both groups and facilitate the current collaboration, training of young scientists and students. Our group intends to launch the Liquid Surface Science project implementing a Langmuir Trough for in situ diffraction at XRD2 beamline at LNLS. At the moment we have a basic version of the optics that is a homemade Pt mirror placed before the sample to deflect the incoming beam to grazing incidence on the liquid surface at XRD2 beamline, which will be used during the visit.
