Abstract

This project aims to reflect on agroecology and associated labour in settlements and schools agroecology of the Landless Workers Movement (MST). To achieve these goals, we plan a) to consult the documents of MST, b) literature review, c) empirical research in agroecology settlements and c) schools of agroecology, as well as interviews with leaders. Since the mid 1980s the MST stimulates the emergence of cooperatives and associations, in production and marketing. Since the 2000s criticism of destructive production (agribusiness, food poisoned by pesticides, transgenics) entered the settlements agenda and resulted in the creation of "technical" schools of agroecology, We believe that these experiences need to be better studied (AU)
