Abstract
This research will be developed over a period of 18 months, covering the period February / 2015 to August 2016. It's object of study are the figurations of female sexually exploited children and adolescents, presented in documentaries and photographic images, which portray this problem. We intend to analyze such figurations seeking to identify, politically and ethically, the place occupied by children and adolescents in these figurations. Thus, we seek to problematize the different ways of figuring identified in documentaries and photographs. A second objective relates to the construction of a script for a documentary feature film to be made by the researcher, with adolescents with a history of sexual exploitation, recurring theme in his studies. In this direction, we will reflect on the narrative style of the documentary to be realized, the ethical implications regarding the relationship between who films and who is filmed, the genesis of the images, possible figurations of the characters, so as not to imprison into stigmas, giving freedom to the emergence of its uniqueness. As a first device of this documentary, will be sought adolescents who participated on the doctoral research conducted by the researcher in the year 1999, as well as a current picture of the reality of sexual exploitation in Brazil at the moment, presented through the work of the NGO-Menina Dança from Minas Gerais. From the methodological point of view this research will be of heuristic nature. The research corpus consisting of documents and photographs, the principle is enlarged and heterogeneous, encompassing several films of different styles, realities, and social and cultural contexts, and photographs present in different media (books, photographic exhibitions and advertisements of NGOs and government) . The corpus will be gradually defined during the research. Regarding the activities to be undertaken, the survey will cover: a) a comprehensive literature study that will allow us to identify, discuss and analyze the ethical, political and aesthetic issues involved in the production and use of images in the figurations of the characters and the implications of these processes for the viewer; b) participation in meetings of the Research Group "Poetics of Experience", coordinated by Professor Dr. César G. Guimarães, from the Graduate Program in Social Communication from the Faculty of Philosophy and Human Sciences, Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFGM) in form of complementary benefits (research internship at University outside the state of SP, which will occur in the first half of 2015); c) development of a script for the documentary on the subject of sexual exploitation; d) production of the documentary, to be finalized at the end of the research; e) this research will provide reflections that will help in my practical training of education professionals and other specialists who work with children and adolescents. To provide / facilitate the production of the documentary, permanent equipment and outside services and resources for the researcher will be required. (AU)
