Abstract

In Brazil, human resources planning in the realm of clinical nutrition, especially in the hospitals, is still not a process based on empirical researches. Consequently, several difficulties have been reported in studies while evaluating the working conditions of nutritionists. In this perspective, the aim of this study is to provide standard guiding reference for the dimensioning the clinical nutrition staffing and compare the results with those established by the Federal Council of Nutritionists. This is a methodological study carried out in steps: construction of the instrument for measuring the distribution of the workload, based on the identification, classification and validation activities carried out by the clinical dietitians; application of the instrument validated in hospitals, considered good practice in nutritional care , located in São Paulo , through the method of time and movement and identification of the standard time of each intervention / activity in clinical nutrition . It is expected that this study contributes to innovation in the practice of human resource management in Services of Nutrition and Dietetics and provide tools for the development / redesign of resolutions by the Federal Council of Nutritionists.
