Abstract

The "Instituto Agronômico" (IAC / APTA / SAA) aims to "generate and transfer science, technology and products to optimization of crop production systems, environmentally responsible, aimed at socio-economic development and food security, through research, training human resources and the preservation of patrimony".Besides acting in the generation of science, technology and products to optimize crop production systems, environmentally responsible, particular attention has been given to transfer knowledge generated to society. Stand out, in this regard, the provision of technical knowledge directly to the producer, the technological packages of varieties developed by IAC (1032 developed cultivars of 97 species, 713 registered cultivars, 24 cultivars protected), the diagnosis of disease, the interlaboratory program soil analysis for agricultural purposes, the provision of propagative material of fruit, roots and tubers, IAC seed chain of grains and fibers, and seeds of several varieties of citrus protected in greenhouse, in addition to more training 40 thousand workers on the use of pesticides on farms. Currently, 370 research projects are in progress in 12 centers distributed between Campinas, Cordeirópolis, Jundiaí, Ribeirão Preto and Votuporanga. Activities related to the development of research and technology transfer are carried out in several regions of São Paulo, as well as other States, requiring constant displacement servers, equipment transportation and other materials for experimentation field through the institutional vehicles. The Instituto Agronômico, concerned about security of their servers and the excellence of its activities in the field, it is proposed that the constant renewal of its vehicles and compliance with vehicle traffic law, based on Institutional planning of vehicles renovation so that there is no loss or interruption of research and innovation activities, considering this process to improve the safety conditions of our servers. This proposal aims at the acquisition of five vehicles pick-ups to promote the research activities and IAC technology transfer. (AU)
