Abstract

) The Vivarium of ICT / CSJC aims to meet the scientific research involving animals, coordinated by teachers, who are mostly linked to programs and funding from FAPESP, that result in jobs where disclosure is through publications in journals with high impact internationally and nationally .However, for the experiments has reliability is necessary to remove factors that may affect , directly or indirectly , research and vary only features to be studied . Thus, it is necessary to standardize the environment , feeding and handling of the animals , so that there is maximum removal of these variables .At this time, there is a perceived need of installation of the system to adapt the animal housing , such as support cages for rabbits and mini -isolators with ventilated rack for mice.With respect to the rats / camundpngos , more animals used in the ICT- CSJC surveys , the vivarium presents biosafety level I, the mice / conventional mice are housed in polypropylene and wire mesh lid cages, and there are no barriers to cross-contamination , the exception handling.The acquisition of the equipment is essential for that animal testing can proceed at the Institute , adapting to international standards and norms of CONCEA ( National Council dde Animal Experimentation Control)b ) With the end of the reform of the Research Laboratory , installed in Edifiício of Basic Sciences , there is a need for making cabinets for the storage of materials and equipment (some acquired through resources provided by FAPESP ) , and the manufacture of countertops stone / granite for handling of equipment and materials, when carried out research.
