Systemic arterial hypertension (SAH) is one of the main problems of global public health, has a high prevalence, low control rates and is a major modifiable risk factors for cardiovascular disease prevention. There is strong scientific evidence to indicate greater prevalence of hypertension in the black population that is related to an inherited change in sodium and potassium uptake. Thus, the aim of this study is to evaluate the factors associated with high blood pressure in children and adolescents Maroons. This cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. Validated instruments will be used in Brazil to identify associated factors related to lifestyle and the use of biochemical analysis to predict the risk of developing Chronic Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs). One aim, from the results, identify the main risk factors for hypertension in the quilombola communities and introduce measures to prevent injuries of this pathology as early in order to prevent cardiovascular complications in adulthood.
