Abstract

In the research project, this equipment is essencial for the experiments designed to investigate the interactions between proteins in cells expressing fluorescent or luminescent protein tags (fusion proteins with luciferase) by FRET and BRET techniques, respectively. Due to its multi-function, this equipment will replace the Nonodrop spectrophotometer (asked in the thematic project 2013 / 23087-4, which therefore will no longer be acquired), the luminescence reading equipment, applied for Luciferase analysis used in experiments for promoter analysis with reporter genes, for biochemical analysis (such as creatinine and protein quantification), and ELISA, in which spectrometry is employed. In this way, multiple research projects will benefit from the multifunctional applications of the equipment, making it entirely appropriate for multiuser employment. (AU)
