Abstract

This study aims to research and develop an innovative way to deliver analytical traceability for environmental testing. It is use of water-soluble films for packaging precise and accurate amounts of solid patterns of color and turbidity. These analyzes were chosen for the initial project because are widely used and requested monthly for alternative water supply systems by Resolution SS 65, of April 12, 2005 the São Paulo State Health Surveillance Center. This resolution has similar concepts with the European Water Guidelines for Human Consumption and, being confirmed the viability of this innovation, the product will also fit to the international market. The project goal is to develop standards of chemical analysis for field use without the need for balance, glassware and micropipettes. The study consists of 1) to investigate the effect of dissolution of water-soluble films in the color and turbidity readings; 2) to investigate the storage stability of the packaged standard water-soluble films for 7 months at different temperatures; 3) investigate the standard shipping stability packed water-soluble films up to 30 days at different temperatures. As the research also will choose a commercial package for deionized water that makes it possible to offer customers a complete solution for quality control analysis. Expected to reach a differential product with ease and usability compared to standard liquid of high concentration currently offered on the market. (AU)
