Abstract

The visiting researcher's activities include: 1. Teaching a short course on indigenous Amazonian iconography at UNICAMP. 2. Convening a workshop on Upper Xingu ethnology in collaboration with Prof Antonio Guerreiro Junior. 3. Attendance of research seminars at Centro de Pesquisa em Etnologia Indigena (CPEI) of UNICAMP and at Centro de Estudos Amerindios (CEstA) of USP. 4. Writing two articles on Xinguano ritual objects and iconography. 5. The curatorial study of two ethnographic collections, comprising one thousand and seventy five small to large size drawings of the Upper Xingu iconographic tradition. (AU)
