Frederic Tripet | Keele University - Inglaterra

Abstract

The work plan for Frederic Triplet is based on the project that I am developing regarding the process of stylization between aedes aegyptis and aides albopictus. By august/2016 the lab will have made all experiments on RNA-seq from intra and inter crossings (aedes aegypti x aedes albopictus) to characterize the neural response on the interaction between these two species. The experiments are been conducted by analyzing differences on gene expression from heads of these two mosquito species. Together with Frederic, we will select some promising genes that we can knock out with CRISP/Cas technology. During this month, the plan is to: revise RNA-seq data with me and select some interesting genes, prepare this first manuscript on RNA-seq data, produce gRNA from 1 or 2 genes to inject into aedes eggs to produce the mutants.
