Abstract
The electric response of a dielectric liquid doped by ferrofluid will be investigated.From the theoretical point of view our goal is the generalization of the Poisson-Nernst-Planck model, based on the continuity equations and on the equation of Poissonwith particular attention to the importance of the Einstein-Smolucowski relation, and tothe description of the boundary conditions used for the model. From the experimental pointof view we plan to analyze the the spectra of the real and imaginary parts of the responseof the cell at the impedance and dielectric level versus the thickness of the samples, in orderto derive information on the bulk and interface contributions.
