Abstract

Stroke has become a public health problem, being one of the most commonly encountered diseases, affecting individuals of different ages. It been observed a high mortality rate caused by this illness. Individuals who survive cerebral affection usually present motor, psychological, and behavioral disorder as well as losses in oral and / or written. There are several risk factors which may trigger to Stroke. Getting to know the epidemiology of these factors helps to develop actions aimed at health promotion and prevention of this ilness. The affected individuals frequently require rehabilitation, often conducted by a multidisciplinary team, addressing all aspects which has changed after the stroke. Thus, this study has the objective to implement a scientific research center, seeking to evaluate, promote and rehabilitate the health of adults and / or seniors with communication alterations based on care guidelines for rehabilitation of the person after a stroke, considering the entire process from promotion and health prevention to rehabilitation of the individual affected by this ilness.
