Abstract

In the search for improved competitiveness, the industry has discussed and implemented several concepts related to people and processes. However, the concepts adopted for the organizations are implemented and maintained in a disjointed manner. Several authors recognize the competitive advantage role of knowledge, which is treated implicitly in traditional models of Production Management. Exploring opportunities in this scenario, this project purposes to analyze the workers knowledge sharing in automotive plants through factors related to Knowledge Management, Work Organization and Production Organization. The research will use a qualitative and quantitative approach involving workers and managers in Brazil and China to identify the factors and evaluate them. To assess the importance of these factors, multivariate statistics are used and the Hierarchy Process Analytics Saaty (2001). This research indicates the relationship among the factors and the explicit use of the theme "knowledge" in production systems. The research contributes to the promotion of an enabling context for the creation and sharing of workers knowledge and is aligned with the recent demands of research and organizational. (AU)
