Abstract

The present research proposal aims to deepen the analysis of general policies for the prevention of school violence linked to the principles present in youth policies in the current context. The specific objectives of the project are: a) search practices that are being developed from the implementation of the proposals for the prevention of school violence; b) elaboration of indicators to assess the impact of Government proposals for prevention of school violence, which are implemented by the Department of education of the State of São Paulo and the Department of education of the State of Minas Gerais from discussions to be developed with the implementers of tenders and with schools.The research methodology to be developed for the study and elaboration of indicators for evaluation of two government policies in two Brazilian States will be: to update and deepen the study) documentary of the policies implemented; b) focus groups with teachers, and professional mediators of the Directorate of education of Limeira in the State of São Paulo, and interviews with implementers, teachers and managers of schools in the State of Minas Gerais and São Paulo.The data analysis methodology will involve the theoretical reflections of authors who come to studying the economic and social political context related to youth policies and violence and school violence. For analysis of documents and data from the focus groups is proposed to critical discourse analysis (Van Dijk, 2010; Fairclough, 2012).The indicators should be drawn from the understanding and disclosure of ideological, political aspects and conceptions of youth insecurity, social violence, school violence and the relationships that are established from such conceptions.
